ALL DECISION OF THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR ARE FINAL AND ARE NOT SUBJECT TO APPEAL.

  • Junior Anglers must be 12 & under (age as of October 17, 2026)
  • Entry Fee is FREE
  • Top 10 heaviest bass weighed in during tournament hours will receive prizes
  • Top 3 heaviest bass weighed in during hours will also receive a trophy
  • All Junior Anglers must be registered prior to 7:00 PM on October 16, 2026
  • Junior Anglers cannot enter both the Junior Division and the Open Division

 CAPTAINS

  • All Junior Anglers must have a Boat Captain over 18 years of age or older in the boat during tournament hours.
  • If Junior Angler is fishing from the bank, a designated Captain who is 18 years of age or older, must remain within a safe and reasonable distance of the Junior Angler and be readily available to provide assistance in the event of an emergency.

MINOR’S RELEASE

  • All Junior Anglers must have a completed Minor’s Release on file with Outlaw Outdoors. This form is available to be completed online at OutlawOutdoors.com.  An entry is not considered complete until the Minor’s Release is received.

ANGLER ID CARDS

  • All Junior Anglers (or a representative) must pick up their Angler Card in the Registration Tent on Friday, October 16th from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Umphrey Pavilion.
  • All Junior Anglers must present their Angler Card upon arriving to weigh in line. If Angler does not have their Angler Card, Angler will not be allowed to weigh in for that hour.  A digital copy (picture) of the Angler Card is acceptable.

FORWARD FACING SONAR IS NOT ALLOWED

  • No form of Forward Facing Sonar is allowed during the tournament.
  • Side Scan, Humminbird 360, Garmin GT360UHD, etc is allowed.

PARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY

  • All Anglers must have a valid Texas fishing license.
  • All State, Coast Guard, Federal Parks & Wildlife regulations apply at all times. A violation of any of these regulations could result in Angler being disqualified.
  • Only registered Anglers may be in the boat during official tournament hours. There are no limits to the number of anglers per boat.  Any exceptions must be approved by Tournament.
  • Anyone that meets the following criteria is NOT eligible to enter or Captain in this tournament:
    • Anyone who has entered any tournament in the 12 months preceding this tournament with an entry fee equal to or greater than $1000
    • Anyone who has provided guided services for largemouth bass for payment within the past 90 days on any Body of Water
  • Tournament Director has the right to refuse any entry into the tournament.

 OFF LIMITS PERIOD

  • There is no off limits period for this tournament.

REGISTRATION TIMES

  • Anglers can register online at www.OutlawOutdoors.com until Thursday, October 15th at 5:00 PM.
  • Onsite Registration will be Friday, October 16th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
  • There will be NO Saturday morning registration.

LAUNCHING

  • Trailering is allowed.
  • Anglers may launch at any public boat ramp on Sam Rayburn.
  • Anglers may launch at any time on Tournament Day.

WEIGH IN PROCEDURE

  • Any Angler wanting to weigh in MUST have their Angler Card in their possession.
  • Junior Anglers may start weighing in fish at 8:15. Scales will remain open until 2:00 PM with the exception of the first 15 minutes of each hour (9-9:15, 10-10:15, etc).
  • Fish must be submersed in water, whether in a weigh in bag or other container, when presented to weigh in.
  • FISH MUST BE ALIVE TO BE ELIGIBLE TO WEIGH IN

TOURNAMENT DAY

  • Tournament day may be shortened, lengthened or canceled due to unsafe weather or any conditions that would endanger the safety of the Angler at the Tournament Director’s sole and absolute discretion.

PERMITTED FISHING METHODS

  • Only artificial lures may be used.
  • Only one fishing rod per Angler may be used at any one time. Additional rods may be in the boat and ready for use.
  • Trolling with the combustion engine as a method of fishing is prohibited.
  • Switching or sharing fish with others, whether an Angler or not, is not allowed.
  • When sight fishing, Bass must be hooked inside the mouth.
  • Angler can fish from any location within the navigable waters of Sam Rayburn Reservoir.
  • Anglers may fish from a boat, bank, public pier, canoe or kayak.

SPORTSMANSHIP AND CONDUCT

  • All Anglers are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation. Any misconduct could result in loss of weight for tournament and/or banning from future events. Examples of conduct not complying with those standards include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Actions or words which reflect unfavorably upon efforts to promote safety, sportsmanship, and fair competition
    • Substance abuse
    • Harassment of any kind

ASSISTANCE

  • During hours of competition, Anglers may not receive fishing information from non-competitors.
  • Anglers may not participate in the practice of "hole sitting."
  • The use of mobile communication devices such as cellular phones, marine radios, walkie-talkies, are not allowed to be used to communicate fishing information during tournament hours.
  • In the event of an emergency situation, competitors should call 911 and then notify the Tournament Director.

 BOAT REQUIREMENTS

  • Angler’s boat must have all required U.S. Coast Guard safety equipment.
  • Angler’s boat must be equipped with a kill switch and be used while combustible engine is in use.
  • One USCG approved life jacket for each person must be in the Angler’s boat. Life jackets must be worn while combustible engine is in use.
  • Boats must contain a aerated live well space adequate enough to maintain Angler’s catch.
  • Participants must follow all boating regulations.

 HORSEPOWER REGULATION

  • Maximum horsepower for all outboards used in tournament competition should not exceed the horsepower limitations as set by the U. S. Coast Guard for such vessel.

PERMITTED FISHING LOCATIONS

  • Anglers may fish anywhere within the navigable waters of or from the banks of Sam Rayburn Reservoir except areas designated as "off limits" or "no fishing" by State or Federal Officials.

TOURNAMENT HOURS

  • First Cast: 7:00 AM
  • Scales close at 2:00 PM

SCORING

  • Tournament is a Big Bass format with payouts for the Top 10 Bass in tournament.
  • Anglers can weigh in multiple Bass but only the largest Bass will be eligible for prizes.
  • Bass must be alive to be weighed in.
  • Only Largemouth and Spotted Bass are accepted species
  • All Bass must be a minimum length of 14”. Official measuring device is Check-It-Stik
  • The Bass will be measured with mouth closed, tail compressed and swiped to achieve overall greatest length.
  • Any artificially weighted, preserved or altered bass will be disqualified and that Angler will be subject to prosecution under federal and state laws.
  • Each Angler’s Bass must be brought to the weigh in line in a bag with enough water in bag/container to totally submerse the Bass.
  • Anglers must have their Angler Card in hand while in weigh in line.
  • Tournament will start and stop with the official clock present at the tournament weigh station.
  • Metal detectors and other devices will be available and utilized on a case by case basis under the direction of the Tournament Director.

POLYGRAPH EXAM

  • each Angler and Captain is subject to be required to take a polygraph exam.
  • By entering the tournament, each Angler and Captain agrees to accept the results of said polygraph exam.

HOLD HARMLESS

  • Each Angler and Captain understands and agrees to hold harmless The Newtron Group, Outlaw Outdoors, any sponsors associated with the tournament, any spectators, any Anglers/Captains and any others associated with the tournament. Each Angler releases The Newtron Group, Outlaw Outdoors, any sponsors associated with the tournament, any spectators, any Anglers/Captains and any others associated with the tournament from any and all claims of personal injuries and accidents as well as any damaged, lost or stolen property incurred in connection with the tournament.
